GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

BY HIRING WITH DRESS HIRE AUSTRALIA YOU IMMEDIATELY AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HIRING:

Please bear in mind that Hire Garments are 'pre-loved' items and are expected to sometimes have minor wear and tear, repairs, or very small marks on them from previous hires. Any significant damages or major discolouration/stains visible when the dress is being worn, that result in the garment being deemed 'unwearable' will be removed from the website or sold off as damaged. 

Please be extra gentle with the garment as it is the hirer's responsibility from the moment it arrives at the destination until it arrives back with us. Please hang up the garment on a hanger or store safely once received and keep away from children and pets. Please also do this once worn prior to packing into the supplied return satchel.

RENTAL PERIODS:

 “Rental Period” refers to the 4 or 8-day period that the client has booked the Apparel for - commencing from the day the Apparel is dispatched to the client’s delivery address \ picked up or dropped off to you via our courier service. The hire end date reflects the date the Apparel is supposed to be dropped in mail by the client, as shown on Dress Hire Australia's Website.

Bookings can be made for 4 or 8 days. The first day of your booking is the day the dress arrives/or is picked up and the final day is the day the dress needs to be posted back.

We recommend booking 1-2 days prior to your event. If a 1 or 2 day hire extension is required we recommend contacting us directly.

SHOWROOM HIRES:

Due to extremely high demand and limited availability, a $25 non-refundable fee is required to secure any try-on appointment. 

The fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable to any other person or date.

Once an item is collected/leaves the showroom, it is final and cannot be brought back or swapped for another item due to change of mind, it not fitting properly, event cancellation or any other reason. We recommend trying it on prior to leaving if you are unsure, to make sure it fits, in addition to picking up your item as close to the day of your event as possible.

Please be extra gentle with the garment as it is the hirer's responsibility from the moment it leaves the showroom until it is returned.

Please be weary of jewellery and bags that may catch on dresses and cause damage – any repairs will be at your expense and these can potentially damage the item beyond repair.

Please hang up the garment on the supplied hanger in the supplied bag once worn (i.e. don’t leave it on the floor).

REFUNDS

Please be aware that we do not offer refunds on hire fees or deposits for ANY REASON including if the item does not fit or if you decide not to wear it or if your event is cancelled. If unsure regarding sizing, we recommend booking a try on or asking us for fit notes prior to booking.

CANCELLATIONS

Unfortunately due to the nature of being a small business, we are not able to complete refunds for change of minds or event cancellations.

Although we understand COVID related cancellations are out of your control, please realise that we have also endured significant impacts due to covid.

No shows on the day of collection will require 100% of the hire fee to be paid and this cannot be later redeemed or swapped/credited. It hugely impacts us when you do not show, as the item was blacked out for you and resultantly, other client bookings for this dress for your dates were not possible.

Under certain circumstances, in the case of event cancellation, we are able to offer a date swap for the garment.

If we have to cancel a booking (for example, the item you booked has been ruined by another hirer beyond repair, or it hasn't arrived back from the previous weekend or any other reason) we will provide you with a credit for the amount paid to be used on a future hire. We do not offer refunds in this case, or for any other reason at all. Unfortunately these issues are out of our control.

CLEANING OR DAMAGES

Standard dry cleaning / hand washing costs are included in the hire price.

It is the borrower's responsibility to inspect the garment thoroughly: either directly on pickup or on the same day as receiving the dress via Australia Post. If you are not happy with the condition of the garment, please ensure to notify us at dresshireaustralia.com.au immediately. 

Please do NOT attempt to clean garments without contacting us first via instagram, text or email.

If something is spilled on the garment, please let us know as soon as possible via DM or text so we can advise how to avoid the spillage staining and or ruining the garment.

If an item is returned with excessive stains and/or marks (i.e. body odour, tan, drinks, food, grass stains, dirt, ink etc.) a deep cleaning fee of $25.00 will be payable.

Any cost of repairs for damages to the garment (zip, hems, seams etc) will be at the hirer’s expense and may incur a flat fee at the time of return or an amount to be confirmed and paid once repaired.

If item is damaged beyond repair the hirer will be required to pay the full RRP on top of any fees in order for the item to be replaced.

RETURNS

Returns are Monday immediately following your hire date between 10:00am and 4:30pm unless otherwise described when booking or arranged prior to collection.

If you are unable to make it someone else is welcome to return it on your behalf.

Due to our cleaning schedule, a late fee of $25.00 will apply to any returns not made by 4:30pm Monday and a further $25.00 for each consecutive day the item is not returned.

Please ensure the supplied hanger and garment bag are returned or a flat fee of $10 will apply so that we can replace them.

 

POSTAL HIRES:

We do NOT accept returns via Post Boxes. Parcels must be lodged at an Australia Post Office with proof of lodgement obtained. If an order is lodged via a post box and it is not received back, the borrower is responsible for covering the RRP of the hire item/s that were not lodged appropriately.

Please be extra gentle with the garment as it is the hirer's responsibility from the moment it arrives at the destination until it arrives back to us.

POSTAGE

The cost of postage cost is NOT included in the hire price, and is $25.00 extra payable at the time of booking.

We aim to post on Monday & Tuesdays to allow an extra few days in case of any delays with Australia Post's service. This is ample time for express post and we are not responsible for any delays once Australia Post has the parcel.

Postage includes express post to you, and a prepaid, pre-labelled return satchel for quick and easy return so all you need to do is pack up the dress into the satchel and lodge at an Australia Post Office.

All parcels are to be lodged directly at an Australia Post Office and a Lodgement Receipt must be obtained as proof of it being lodged. DO NOT use a post box to return as this does not scan, and usually is delayed for a number of delays prior to Australia Post posting it.

REFUNDS

Please be aware that we do not offer refunds on hire fees for ANY REASON including if the item does not fit or if the parcel does not arrive on time - this is at your own risk by choosing the postal hire service.

We recommend trying it on locally (at a local stockist, David Jones/Bec and Bridge etc) or asking us for fit notes prior to booking. Although we will try our best to provide accurate information on fit, we will not be held responsible for items that do not fit upon arrival.

Parcels must be lodged at a Post Office before 4pm on the Monday immediately following your hire (unless otherwise described or arranged in advance).

We do NOT accept returns via Post Boxes. Parcels must be lodged at an Australia Post Office with proof of lodgement obtained. If an order is lodged via a post box and it is not received back, the borrower is responsible for covering the RRP of the hire item/s that were not lodged appropriately.

Please do NOT use a post box as these are not always collected daily, do not allow for lodgement evidence, don’t scan properly in the Australia Post system and are usually delayed. 

A $25.00 per day late fee applies to any late lodgement with Australia Post and will be deducted from your security bond.
